Maryland Hospital Association recognized for Leadership in Quality Improvement
Will receive Dick Davidson Quality Milestone Award for Allied Association Leadership; Ohio and Kansas Hospital Associations also Honored
WASHINGTON (June 14, 2016) – The Maryland Hospital Association (MHA) is the 2016 recipient of the Dick Davidson Quality Milestone Award for Allied Association Leadership for its work to improve health care quality, the American Hospital Association (AHA) announced today. The Ohio Hospital Association (OHA) and Kansas Hospital Association (KHA) were selected as honorable mentions for the 2016 award. The award, given to state, regional or metropolitan hospital associations that demonstrate leadership and innovation in quality improvement and contribute to national health care improvement efforts, will be presented July 17 at the 2016 Health Forum-AHA Leadership Summit in San Diego.
Kansas health care professionals awarded National Patient Safety Foundation (NPSF) Immersion Initiative scholarships
Ten Kansas patient safety leaders will soon begin a year-long professional development initiative with the goal to achieve the Certified Professional Patient Safety (CPPS) credential. The scholarship awards were announced by the Kansas Healthcare Collaborative.
Hospitals recognized for innovation and quality improvement
Four Kansas hospitals received recognition for their leadership and achievement in quality improvement and patient safety by the Kansas Healthcare Collaborative (KHC). The awards were sponsored by the KaMMCO Foundation and presented at the KHC’s annual educational event, Summit on Quality, Friday, May 6.
